A loooong summer break ahead of me, I was truly in a desperate need to search for a GOAL. A goal to achieve in my summer break. As a member of AIESEC (https://aiesec.org), I came upon this internship program my friend produced. An internship in Mongolia, in a company called Unimedia Solutions ;)) 

Mongolia… I knew nothing about the country. And all I could imagine were plains. Greeeeen mass of grass spreading out like forever and ever. The light blue sky enfolding the endless greens rippling below the wind………
But… hey, I was WRONG.

Once I started researching, I found out that Mongolia’s capital was a CITY. AN ACTUAL CITY. I mean a place with TONS of cars and TONS of buildings and TONS AND TONS of people. 
And Unimedia Solutions was located right in the center of the capital, Ulaanbaatar!
Kind of a surprise, right? Or are “plains” an image only Japanese have against Mongolia…? 

It’s kind of scary how people misunderstand things so easily. It might be because of medias. But I guess it’s simply because we can’t get rid of the images we already have.
SEE the truth before you believe any thing else. It is only your SEEs that is the most reliable.

大学生の夏。
長い夏を前に、私は呆然としていた。
サークルでテニスに明け暮れる毎日。悪くはない。

しかし、大学生になってもまだ、自らをテニスに捧げてしまっていいのだろうか。
テニスは高校まで。と決めたはずであった。

成長したくて。何か変わりたくて。。。だけど、何も行動に移せない。。。
だから、わからなかったけど、とりあえず手を伸ばしてみて、掴み取ったのが、モンゴルでのインターン。

そこは、何もない大自然であった。果てしなく広がり続ける細やかな草の波。。。。
そう言ってみたかったが、調べると、モンゴルにはウランバートルという都市があった。

しかもその都市というのは、たくさんの車にあふれ、たくさんの建物に敷き詰められ、たっっっっっくさんのヒトという生き物により占領された、混雑した、まぎれもない、街。

テレビを見ると、いつも大草原が映される。それも本当のモンゴルの姿。
しかし、同時に、町があること、栄えている国であること、その事実を消し去ってはならない。
何もしていなくても次々と情報は入ってくる。少し背伸びすればさらに情報は入ってくる。
だが、そんな多くの情報に負けないくらい、私たちはもっと背伸びし、高く飛び上がり、自分たちからメディアの向こうにある情報世界を掴み取らなければならない。

今は強く、そう思う。
