「だって、面白いじゃないですか。」

今働くUnimedia Solutions LLC は3度目の職場。Erkembayarさん、 Trading Desk にて、日本の市場に向けて広告の配信を行なっている。

CA、建築業界のマネージャー、IT企業と、どれも全く関係のなさそうなもの。まるで、関連のなさそうな仕事ばかり。しかし、新しいことに挑戦すること、それはとても楽しいこと、面白いことなのだと、そう話してくれた。

Erkembayarさんの言う「挑戦」には全く刺々しく感じるようなものはなかった。純粋に楽しく感じ、だからこそ、新しいことを行える。
感覚で行動していけるような、モンゴル人らしい、強い思いを感じさせられた。

「モンゴルの広告業界は10年遅れている。」Erkembayarさん、コクリと頷いた。
しかし、その一方で、Unimediaでは専門的な学びができる。日本から学べる。Unimediaで働くこと。Erkembayarさんは大きな可能性を感じているようだった。

「今は遅れているけど、モンゴルは必ず発展する。広告業界が大きくなっていく。」そして、自分たちは知識があるから、
「自分たちがリードしていける。発展のきっかけとなっていける。先頭に立てたらいいなあって思って。」笑顔で、そう語ってくれた。

自らが上達すること。モンゴルを発展させること。それが今、彼を動かす大きな原動力となっていた。

「将来的にはできれば自分の会社作ってみたりはしたいですけど、しっかり専門的なものに注力した、そんな会社だったりしたらいいなぁって思いますね。」

少し照れながら、熱く、思いを話してくれた。

In Mongolia, Erkembayar currently works as a member of Trading Desk in Unimedia Solutions LLC.

“Trying new things, it’s interesting!” he said.
“Challenge.” Pronounced with a smile, the word did not sound so difficult or harsh.

In Trading Desk, Erkembayar works to control advertisements targeted to Japanese websites.
“Mongolia’s advertisement systems are more than 10 years behind than other developed countries,” he said, “that’s why it’s great how we can learn the systems from Japan.”
“Most companies here tend to focus more on general view and don’t focus so much on particular genres.”

Although it is still not so developed yet, Erkembayar was sure that the advertisement systems will flourish soon in Mongolia.
“It would be great if we could take the lead then,” he said; his smile firm and kind.

Chances to learn new skills. Chances to learn for Mongolia… Possibilities in Unimedia were what drove him at work.

“I don’t know, but I might build my own company someday in the future. Then, it would be focused on something particular. Like most companies in Japan.”

A little bit embarrassed but with a shy grin, he happily portrayed bits of visions and dreams he held in his heart.
