イングランド南部ブライトンで結成されたポストパンクバンド・Squid。
Neu!（ノイ）やThis heat（ディス・ヒート）などの実験的なロックサウンドからの影響を公言しており、これまで存在しなかったようなサウンドスケープを繰り広げる。UKアルバムチャートで4位と非常に高評価を得たデビューアルバム「Bright Green Field」に収録された今回の曲では、大企業が街に影を落とす退廃的な風景が歌詞/サウンドで描き出されている。
