Takramのメンバーが自身の働き方や暮らしをどのようにデザインしているのかインタビュー形式でお届けしているTakram Life。メンバーの個性豊かなキャラクターやこだわりを通じて見えるTakramらしさが、読んでくださっている皆さまに伝わっていたら嬉しいです。今回は番外編としてTakramの文化を象徴する制度の1つであるBook Purchaseについて詳しくご紹介していきたいと思います。

Takram Life is a series of interviews with Takram members about how they are designing their work style and life. We would be happy if everyone who reads these articles can feel Takramness through the unique characters and professionalism of its members. As an extra edition of Takram Life, I would like to introduce Book Purchase, one of the systems that represent the culture of Takram.

What is ”Book Purchase”?

Takramは様々なチェンジメーカーと協働し、新しい価値を生み出していくことをMissionとしています。Mission実現のための３つのValue（行動指針）の１つである ”Learning Organization” をサポートするための制度の1つとして、Book Purchaseが運用されています。

Valueにも掲げているように「学び」はTakramでは非常に重要なキーワードのひとつです。これにはTakramの特徴が大きく関係しています。

例えば
・クライアントワークという業態であること
・業種や分野にこだわらず、幅広くプロジェクトをお受けしていること
・そのため、プロジェクト毎に短期間での専門知識のキャッチアップが必要

など業務の特性によるものに加えて

・好奇心が強く、新しいことを習得を楽しめるタイプのメンバーが多い
・クライアントワーク
　＝メンバー1人1人のスキルがTakramの価値に直結する
・隣接領域へのスキルの「越境」を推奨している

Takram's Mission is to collaborate with various change makers to create new value. Book Purchase is operated as one of the systems to support "Learning Organization," which is one of the three Values (action guidelines) to realize our Mission. As also stated in our Value, “Learning” is one of the most important keywords in Takram, and this has a lot to do with the characteristics of Takram.

For example, there are characteristics of Takram that are based on the nature of its business such as:
・It is based on requests from our clients.
・It is open to a wide range of projects regardless of industries or fields.
・Therefore, Takram needs to quickly catch up on expertise for each project.

There are also the following characteristics of organization:
・Takram has many members who are curious and enjoy learning new things.
・The skills of each member are directly related to the value of Takram,   because we do not have our own products.
・Takram promotes the idea of “overcoming limitations” on skills to adjacent areas.

How is the system operated?

この制度の運用のポイントは２つです。
１つ目は制度の運用を極めてシンプルにすることです。経験がある方も少なくないと思いますが、運用が複雑な制度は社員の利用の心理的あるいは時間的な負担が大きく、どんなにいい制度でも気がつくと使われなくなっていた。。。なんてことも。そのため運用は極力シンプルにしています。
書籍を購入すると、Google Formに購入した書籍の情報を入力します。フォームには購入した本のタイトル、書籍のURL、金額を記入します。領収書の提出や立替精算などは一切必要ありません。

Many people may have experienced that a system with complicated operation imposes a psychological or time-consuming burden on employees, and no matter how good the system is, it is no longer used. This is why we try to keep the operation as simple as possible. What members have to do when they purchase a book is to enter the information on the purchased book (book title, URL, price, and reasons for purchase) into Google Form. They do not need to submit any receipts or settle advance payments.

２つ目のポイントは購入履歴をメンバー誰もが閲覧できる仕組みにすることです。Takramでは、先程のGoogleフォームがSlackに連携されており、BookチャンネルとNotionのデータベースに自動的に投稿されるようにしています。誰がどんな本を購入しているのか全員が閲覧することで、運用の見える化はもちろん、読書から見えるその人の好奇心・興味・課題意識などの価値観の共有にもつながっています。特にTakramは部署がなく、プロジェクト毎に有機的にチームを構成しているため、こういった小さな価値観の共有を積み重ねることが、案外、重要な役割を担っているように思います。

The second is to make the purchase history available to all members.
Takram links the above Google Form to Slack and automatically posts it to the Book Channel and Notion Database. By allowing everyone to see who is buying what books, we can not only visualize the operation, but also share values among members, such as their curiosity, interests, and awareness of issues that can be seen through reading. In particular, Takram does not have any departments and organically organizes a team for each project, so we think that accumulating such sharing of small and shared values can play an important role in the company.

私はTakramへ転職して、実際に読まれている本の多さにとても驚きました。
毎日誰かしらがフォームを投稿するため、Slackを開く度にメンバーが購入した本の情報が流れてくるため、入社当初は「みんなどうやってこのスピードで読むのだろう。。。」と自分の読書のスピードの遅さにプレッシャーすら感じましたが（笑）今はあまり周りは気にせず、でも貪欲に読書による学習を楽しんでいます。

この制度で私が一番好きなところは、仕事に直結する本以外も購入が認められていることです。こういう制度を運用する際によく仕事とそうでないものをどうやって区別するのかといった趣旨の議論を耳にしますが、境界線は引かずにまるっとサポートするという懐の深さと学びに対しての本質的な考え方がTakramには根付いているように感じています。

「自分の人生を豊かに彩るための学び」、「自身の体験を再整理するための学び」、「あらたな気づきや価値観をインプットしてくれる学び」、読書を通じて得られる様々な学びはその人を形作るものとなり、それが最終的にはよい仕事につながっていくのではないでしょうか。読書の秋。みなさんも読書を楽しんでくださいね。
