学生の頃、都内の古着屋巡りと言えばお店のOpenに合わせて、昼12時ぐらいに原宿をスタートし、渋谷、恵比寿、代官山(この辺りで空腹で集中力が切れるので、一度ご飯を挟みます。そして終盤に差し掛かり、お店の閉店時間との勝負が始まります)その後、遅くまで営業している、中目黒、祐天寺、そして学芸大学エリアへと足を運びます。今思えば良く徒歩で回っていたなと我ながら感心します。

本日はその頃から今現在も勿論、足繁く通わせて頂いている、こちらのお店をご紹介させて頂きます。

古着好きの方であれば既に外観でお分かりかも知れませんが、2019年に群馬県高崎市にお店をOpenされました、「ジャンティーク 内田商店」さんです。正直これまで距離を言い訳に、中々足を運べずにいましたが、先日何とかお店を訪問する事が出来ました。

お店は先ず何と言っても都内ではあり得ないスケールの大きさに圧倒されます。店内は中目黒店同様、所狭しと洋服や雑貨を始め、心躍るありとあらゆるアイテムに埋め尽くされており、正に内田さんの仰る、ジャンクとアンティークが融合した唯一無二の空間が広がっていました。中でも特に必見なのは、壁一面に集積された古着の棚。そして恐らく日本でここでしか拝見出来ないであろうヴィンテージの映画やPop Art、企業物のポスター、ネオンサインは圧巻の一言です。

これぞ地方店の醍醐味。改めてお店に足を運ぶ意味や、実際の空気感を肌で感じる事の大切さを再認識しました。お店は古着好き以外の方でも、美術館で展覧会を観るような感覚で楽しめると思いますので、高崎市にいらっしゃる際は是非お立ち寄り下さい。

 Today, of course, I would like to introduce you to this shop, which I have been visiting frequently since then.

 If you like second-hand clothes, you may already know from the outside, but in 2019, we opened a store in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, "Jantiques Uchida Shoten"

 First of all, the shop is overwhelmed by the size of the scale that cannot be found in Tokyo.  Like the Nakameguro store, the store is packed with all kinds of exciting items such as clothes and miscellaneous goods, and Mr. Uchida says that the unique space where junk and antiques are fused has expanded. .. A must-see is the used clothing shelves that are piled up all over the wall.  And vintage movies, pop art, corporate posters, and neon signs that you can probably only see here in Japan are just a few of the highlights.

 This is the real thrill of local stores.  I reaffirmed the meaning of visiting the store and the importance of feeling the actual atmosphere with my skin.  Even if you don't like second-hand clothes, you can enjoy the shop as if you were watching an exhibition at a museum, so please stop by when you come to Takasaki City.
