どうしたいですか？と
久郎衛くろえが私に尋ねる。

《Ｓｉｒｏが始めたゲームはもはやＳｉｒｏにしか終わらせることは出来ません。》

久郎衛の淡々とした言い回し。
優しい言い方だったが、そこには彼自身の望みや意志は含まれていない様だった。

旅の中で時々感じていた久郎衛への違和感と苛立ち。

てっきり私は久郎衛も私と同じ様に周りに合わせるために自己を押し殺して取り繕っていると思い、
勝手に同族嫌悪を感じて苛ついていたのだが、それは全くの見当違いで濡れ衣だったのだ。

彼はそもそもがニュートラルな存在なのだから何に対しても執着がないだけなのかもしれない。

What do you want to do?
Kuroe asks me.

"The game that Siro started can only be finished by Siro."

この旅の中で、本当に彼は何にも心動かされず来たのだろうか。

ここまでの道のりを振り返り私は自問自答する。
いやきっと、問いかけなくても私の中に答えは出ている。

Did he really come unmoved by anything in this journey?

Looking back on the journey to this point, I ask myself the same question.
No, I'm sure the answer is already inside me, even if I don't ask it.

と、最後の久郎衛からの問いかけ。

これは周りに合わせて決めた選択ではない。私が私の意志で選ぶこと。

私は顔を上げて久郎衛に手を伸ばした。
