What is the Rubyist Book Authors Stamp Rally?

In Japan, many Rubyist have been publishing books (off course in Japanese) recently, so we've decided to organize an event to bring together RubyKaigi participants and these authors and translators. We hope it will be a great opportunity for everyone to connect.  twitter hashtag:  #authorsrb

To participate, all you need to do is talking to at least four of the participating authors and translators and collect their stamps. Once you have four stamps, you can claim an exclusive bookmark featuring artwork by Kaori Tsurutani, the illustrator of "Yu and the Magical Programming Notebook" (one of the target books of this event). The bookmark is a rare item that is only available at this event, so don't miss out!

How to join this event

1. Get a Stamp Rally sheet at the Sponsors booth in the RubyKaigi2023 venue.

2. Find someone wearing a "Rubyist Book Author" armband and talk to them.

3. Get a stamp from them.

4. Collect four or more stamps by talking to at least four different authors or translators to receive a special bookmark.

5. Share your progress and results on Twitter with the hashtag #authorsrb to make the authors happy!

Note: Only 300 bookmarks are available, with 100 distributed per day for three days only. Each participant can only receive one Stamp Rally sheet throughout the event.

Important Note

Even if you managed to collect 4 or more stamps and got your hands on a bookmark, please don't hesitate to approach any authors. There won't be any additional novelties for completing the whole sheet, but you'll get a sense of satisfaction!

概要・趣旨

タイトルの通りです。スタンプラリー！！　最近Rubyistが色々本を出してるので、著者訳者たちとRubyKaigi参加者のコミュニケーションのきっかけになるといいな、と思って企画しました。つまりわたし（鳥井）に話しかけてほしい。RubyKaigi久しぶりすぎて人とのコミュニケーションの仕方を完全に忘れたんですけど、「本の発行」っていう話題があればとっかかりはいける気がする。「本出されたんですね」「そうなんです。x月に」「へえ、なんて言う本ですか」「（書名）です」2ターン会話が続けばそれはラリーだ。そうだろ？ タグは #authorsrb です。

対象の著者翻訳者4人以上に話しかけてスタンプを4つ集めると、オリジナルしおりがもらえます。しおりのイラストはなんと、名作漫画『メタモルフォーゼの縁側』の鶴谷香央理さん。鶴谷さんが挿画を担当した『ユウと魔法のプログラミング・ノート』の主人公ユウとロボットのミニオのモチーフです。スタンプラリーでしか配布しない会場限定レアしおり。転売禁止。

参加方法

1. RubyKaigi2023松本会場スポンサーブースでスタンプラリー台紙を確保（株式会社万葉ノベルティの近くにあるはず）

2. 「Rubyist Book Author」の腕章をつけている人に話しかける（本を販売している人もいるけど買わなくても大丈夫）

3. スタンプをもらう

4. 4人以上に話しかけ、スタンプを４つ以上集めたらしおりをもらえます

5. 途中経過や成果を #authorsrb でつぶやくと著者たちがとてもよろこぶ

6. しおり300枚作ったので、配布は1日限定100枚x3日とします。台紙は会期を通して1人一枚だよ。

大事なこと

　今回わたし、1日目は家庭の事情でオンライン参加なんです。つまり一番スタンプラリーが盛り上がるであろう初日にいない。辛い。今回スタンプラリー台紙・腕章・ロゴのデザインと印刷も鶴ちゃんへのイラスト発注もしおりデザインも自分でがんばったのに（腕章作成費は腕章スポンサー角谷さんに出してもらいましたThank You!! )。

　ということで4つ以上スタンプを集めて無事しおりをゲットしてしまった人も！　ぜひ！　2日目3日目もひきつづき腕章をつけた著者を見かけたら話しかけてください。スタンプをコンプリートしても特に追加ノベルティはないけど満足感が得られます。
