この聖句は、イエス・キリストが弟子たちに信仰生活における迫害や苦難、そして真の喜びについて教えています。信仰者は、迫害や苦難に直面しても希望を失わず、神の愛と御心を信じることによって、真の喜びと永遠の命へと導かれるのです。
1. 迫害と苦難は信仰生活の一部
イエス様はこの節において、弟子たちが迫害や苦難に直面することを告げています。当時のユダヤ社会において、イエス様の教えに従うことは、周囲の人々から理解されず、嘲笑や敵意を受けることを意味しました。

3. 永遠の命への確信
イエス様は、迫害や苦難の先に訪れる「喜び」とは、単に一時的な慰めではなく、永遠の命への確信に基づいた喜びであることを示唆しています。

This passage of Scripture teaches Jesus Christ's disciples about persecution, hardship and true joy in the life of faith. Believers are led to true joy and eternal life by not losing hope in the face of persecution and hardship, but by trusting in God's love and will.

Jesus suggests that the 'joy' that comes after persecution and hardship is not merely a temporary comfort, but a joy based on confidence in eternal life.
By believing in Jesus Christ, the disciples are given forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Even if they have suffered hardship in this life, they are promised to experience God's glory and joy in eternal life.
I pray that I will not lose hope in the face of persecution and hardship in my life of faith, but that by trusting in God's love and will I will be led into the Kingdom of God to true joy and eternal life.
