思ってたのと違う…

私が最初に思ったのは、想像していたのと少し違った
というより文化の違いを感じた
日本では大学卒業後すぐに大学院に行くことも珍しくない
しかしながら実務経験のある学生が多く、なんなら実務中の学生がほとんど
60歳を超えている学生もいて本当に驚いた
これが海外の大学院なのかと驚かされた

It was not something that I expected

On the first day, I thought this is not something that I expected
It is not that I was disappointed, but I felt culture shock
It is not unnormal in Japan to go to graduate school soon after graduation of college
However, every student other than me had social experience, and most of them are still working
There was a student who was over 60, and I was so surprised about that
It made me feel that it is graduate school abroad

リーディングの量

リーディングの量が多かった
と言うのも私自身がリーディングが苦手なのもある…
最初は久々のリーディングだったので短いものなのに３時間もかかってショックを受けていた
しかしだんだん慣れてきて私が困惑することも無くなった
それはとても良いことだと思うが、これからも続くと思うと自分の生活習慣を見直さなくてはと思わされる

Reading Assignment

I was overwhelmed by the amount of the reading assignment
It is true that it originally takes time for me to read, but it was more than I expected
It took three hours even though it was not that long
However, as I got used to it, it did not take that much time
That is a great thing but I felt that I have to rethink my daily routine so that I can do stuff that I want
