親の強い後押しで開成中学・高校、東大と進んだ人は、ファイティングスピリット、「強い野心」「ハングリー精神」が無い人もいると思います。

逆に、地方公立から苦学の末に東大に行った人は、最初は友人づくりに苦しんだり（東大は開成・灘・筑駒などが主流派）、大変なところが多いですが、人生の後半から躍進していくことが多いような気がしています。
