学校の図書館で、３年生のクラスの児童から「この本を面白かったから読んでみて」とすすめられて読んでみた本「Oddという名前の少年とFrost Giants」。普段読まないようなファンタジーで、とっても面白かったです。

Oddはヴァイキングの少年。いつも一人ぼっちだけど優しい男の子。ある日、彼はおしゃべりできるクマと狐、鷲に出会い、全て氷で覆われている冷たい世界へ迷い込みます。そこで、Oddは知恵や道具を使って、地面で凍っている色のない虹を助けたり、Frost Giantsによって動物にされた神様たちを助けます。

ワクワクドキドキする冒険物語だったので、クラスのみんなにもおすすめします📚

One of my year 3 pupils recommended me reading this book in the school library. This is a kind of fantasy but I loved it and finished reading it in one day! Thank you!

Odd, the Viking, isolated but caring boy, met a talking bear, fox and eagle and entered a shivering, icy world where everything is covered with ice and ruled by the Frost Giants. I enjoyed reading how Odd rescued the colourless rainbow frozen in the ice and the Gods who were turned into the talking animals because of the spells from the Frost Giants.

I’m going to introduce it to the class like the boy did to me!
