一般大学生がアメリカに9カ月住むと、どのくらい単語を習得するのか。

留学前の自分の素朴な疑問に答えるべく、新たに出会った単語のメモを9カ月間取り続けた。

するとだんだん楽しくなってきて、新出単語だけでなく、「この表現格好いいな～」とか、「これ理解語彙ではあるけど使用語彙にしたいな～」といった動機でもメモを取り始めた。

するとさらに楽しくなってきて、友達との雑談に登場した曲のタイトルとか、アニメのキャラクターの英語名とか、そんなものまでメモするようになった。
