I usually browse through most tweets but took notice of the tweet by Hitoshi Tanaka san. He pointed out that the candidates in the Liberal Democratic Party leadership race should notice the importance of discussions from broader perspectives like the future of Japan. As he pointed out, they focus on short-sighted agendas and make me lose interest in the race. I only have a fear of the future of Japan. Also, it is the same for other discussions on politics and the economy that I have watched on TV and websites lately. I missed opportunities to watch or join discussions from a broad perspective for a long time.
 In addition, no current TV program has heated discussion like the “Asa-made Nama TV” (“All-night Hard Discussion”) previously aired every weekend by TV Asahi. I used to enjoy and be excited about the heated discussions, regardless of the appropriateness of the agenda. I miss heated discussions.

　ほとんどのツイートは読み流しているのですが、田中均さんのこのツイートに引っかかりました。ボクが気づいていないだけなのかもしれませんが、最近は、政治にしても経済にしても、細かい話ばかりで、本質的な議論をほとんど見かけなりました。自民党の総裁選の議論を聴いていても、日本の未来はどうなるのかと不安に感じてしまいます。
　また、テレビでも議論する場が減っています。以前は、テレビ朝日の「朝まで生テレビ」等の、政治家や学者の方々が激論を交わすテレビ番組がありました。「朝まで生テレビ」は、議論の内容の善し悪しは別として、参加者の真剣さが伝わる番組で、夜明けまで観ていました。今、こうした番組を見かけなくなりました。なんか、寂しいですね。
