Recently, I have come to see a lot of airliners flying around my town. I do not know exactly where they are flying. But they are not flying just over my town, but seem to be flying over the neighbouring one. At first, when I saw them, I thought they were flying over there on a temporary basis. But after checking for a while to see if they kept flying over there, I found that they were flying every day and they were flying a regular route. I do not know when the route has been created. But I was very happy to see airliners flying from my flat. I also checked on the internet where they were heading. Then, I found on the site,’flightrader24’, that they were all heading for Haneda Airport in Tokyo. I was also surprised to see a lot of airliners lining up like a string of beads on the route. Since then, every day, I watch airliners flying around my town in the afternoon and also come to check the details of each flight on the website, such as the flight number, departure point and airline. It is now one of my daily routines.
I am very happy to see a lot of airliners flying. But it always makes me sad that I am on board with neither of them. Whenever I see them, I am encouraged to try to get a chance to travel abroad again. On the other hand, the other me tells me it is a waste of time and money, and I should not think of it. I am also told to stay in Japan and enjoy myself around Tokyo, as I no longer have a passport.
In any case, I will enjoy watching the airliners from my home.

　最近、たくさんの旅客機がボクの住んでいる町の辺りを飛ぶのをよく見るようになりました。どのあたりを飛んでいるのか、正確には、わかりません。でも、ボクの町の真上を飛んでいるのではなく、隣町の上空を飛んでいるようです。最初は、一時的なものかと思っていました。でも、しばらくの間、上空を飛び続けているかどうか調べてみると、毎日飛んでいて、定期ルートを飛んでいることがわかりました。そのルートがいつできたのかはわかりませんが、自宅から旅客機が飛んでいるのを見れるのは、とてもうれしいです。そこで、旅客機がどこに向かっているのか、インターネットで調べてみました。すると、「flightrader24」というサイトで、全便が東京の羽田空港に向かっていることがわかりました。また、多くの旅客機が数珠つなぎのようにルート上に並んでいるを知り、驚きました。それ以来、毎日、午後になると自分の町の周辺を飛んでいる旅客機を観察し、ウェブサイトで各フライトの便名、出発地、航空会社などの詳細をチェックするようになりました。いまやこれが、日課のひとつです。
　たくさんの旅客機が飛んでいるのを見れるのはとてもうれしいです。でも、自分がそのいずれにも乗っていないことをいつも寂しく感じます。旅客機を見るたびに、また海外に行く機会を作ろうという気になります。その一方で、もう一人の自分が、時間とお金の無駄だからそんな事を考えるなと言ってきます。もうパスポートも持っていないのだから、このまま日本にとどまって東京近辺で楽しめとも言われます。
　いずれにせよ、自宅から旅客機を見て楽しむつもりです。
