In Japan, we call icy road conditions Eisbahn

We call icy road conditions, Eisbahn, which is a German word, but the original meaning of the word is ice skating rink.

Actually, I was convinced that the word was English, like ice-barn.

Anyway, today was not so cold as the weather news had warned. Nevertheless, I still have to be careful not to slip on the frozen road surface, especially the shady side of the street. It will be warmer and provide an assist with some melting the snow, but it is not enough to evaporate all of it.

That means icy roads throughout the weekend or even until next week. We need to cope with it.
