crevasse joined MISS READ 2018, an art book festival in Berlin.

Visitors were never interrupted, but they were not very crowded.
People there can actively interact with the booth, and there are many visitors who watch for long periods of time for a long time. People check the booth which is interested by going around a circle first, then turn it again.

Many talk events were held during the period. MISSREAD Informal discussions were also held at the free table of the venue, and people enjoyed mutual understanding and exchange of opinions freely.

The visitors come from not only from Germany but from the UK and France. Some also from Brazil. The Exhibitor was also very international too. I did not feel minority even I am a Japanese. I understand English only a little but people have accepted.

They joined me together. I was in charge of these two booths.

Some of the visitors knew crevasse and its ZINE. Thanks for the missread official instagram introduced me.

When I handed in the catalog of crevasse I had prepared for buyers, he reacted as "Are you crevasse !?". I was asked for a business card, asked for a method of contact with his favorite artist, and was took a picture of booth. There was always high attention for three days.

The photo is the opening party. Music was playing at a loud volume. "Let's interact during the day"  "Let's play at night." Like it?

Germany in May is good. Beyond the cold winter, everyone looks happy. Peple exercised and was sunbathing naked in the park. I came in a good season.

Naranja of San Diego I visited many times. They used paper that wrote poetry as a wrapper paper of apples, I was jealous. There were only beautiful serene and beautiful books that were conceptual all the way to the minutest details. I want to see them again.

For the first time overseas we sold our ZINE face to face. Thank you for a fun time. I thought that I should do this. People often receive content as expected but sometimes they buy unexpected things or do not convey well. When speaking with overseas publishers I saw on SNS, they are younger than me and open-minded. When I invited them to "come to our booth" they also liked the crevasse ZINE.

It is important that we change ourselves so that they can accept, but it is also important to go to see people who accept it.

I am aware of the narrowness of my world and at the same time there is a wide world where things made in a narrow community are accepted.

To be honest, travel expenses are expensive. And I do not know if I will go through the examination next year. But I want to go back to Berlin again.
