筆を持ちバルコニーからの景色に入り込んでいたが
ふと手を休めたら鳥たちの鳴き声が
合唱のように呼応しあっていた。
太い声高い声
おそらく発する個体の大きさによるのだろうが
あきらかに会話をしている。
キッチンとリビングの会話などではなく
数百メートルの距離をおいての会話だから、
他の存在などお構いなしといった感じ。
道を走っていても
飼われているものなのだろうが
アヒル達の行進は通行お構い無しで
急ぐこともなく横断していく。
２０年ぶりのバリ島はかなり変化していたが
郊外の田園は守られていた。
オーストラリアから日本からヨーロッパから中国から
多くの人がやってくるが
動物たちは場所を追われることなく
それぞれのペースで共存していた。
それでこそ神様に捧げた島だ。
