【HLAB GUNMA 2022 Daily Report Vol.1】

HLAB GUNMA 2022は、高崎シティギャラリーにて開幕しました。開会式で流されたウェルカムムービーでは大学生から高校生参加者のみなさんへ向けたメッセージを届け、高校生がそれぞれの思いを込めたカラフルな紙飛行機を会場中に飛ばしました。

サマースクールの舞台である中之条町まで移動するバスの中では、高校生同士が積極的にコミュニケーションを取る姿があり、暖かい空気に包まれました。その後の「ハウスワーク」では、これから多くの時間を共に過ごすハウスの仲間とそれぞれが好きなモノ、コトを表現し、偏愛マップを作成しました。出てきたキーワードの中から共通点や個性が浮かび上がり、これから1週間を共にしていくことへの期待が高まりました。

1日を締めくくるリフレクションでは、「WHY HLAB」というテーマでサマースクールへの想いについて語り合いました。いよいよ2日目からセミナーやフォーラムなど、企画が盛り沢山な日々が始まります。

HLAB Summer School GUNMA 2022 started at Takasaki City Gallery. At the opening ceremony, university students delivered a welcome message, and high school students flew colorful paper aeroplanes after writing their own messages on it. On the bus ride to Nakanojo Town, the high school students actively communicated with each other. In the subsequent ”house work”, house mates created a map of their favorite things, or anything that identifies themselves. In the reflection session that concluded the day, we discussed our thoughts on the summer school under the theme 'WHY HLAB'. The upcoming days will be followed by various programs including seminars and forums.

HLAB GUNMA 2022は2日目を迎えました。四万で初めての朝を迎え、自然豊かなまちを散歩をし、清々しい一日のスタートとなりました。朝食を終え、初回のセミナー（海外大学生が行うアカデミックな授業）が行われました。慣れない英語を使うことに躊躇いを感じる高校生参加者も多く見られましたが、日本人大学生のサポートにより発言の回数が増えていきました。

午後のフォーラムでは、中之条町で開催される国際現代芸術祭、中之条ビエンナーレの総合ディレクターである山重徹夫さまをお迎えし、開催までの経緯や想いなど、2時間に及ぶご講演をしていただきました。20分という時間では足りないほど数多くの質問が投げかけられ、山重様から熱いメッセージが届けられました。

「大学生フリーインタラクション」では、高校生が気になる大学生と学問など幅広いトピックで語り合いました。聞くことで新たな学びを得ることが多い一日で、高校生にとって大きな刺激となったのではないのでしょうか。

HLAB Summer School GUNMA 2022 entered its second day today. Some of the students woke up early to join a morning stroll around Shima. The official program started with the first session of the seminar conducted by the global-side mentors. Some high school students struggled for not being used to using English, but with the support of Japan-side mentors, they gradually began to speak up. For the forum held in the afternoon, we invited Mr.Tetsuo Yamashige, the general director of the Nakanojo Biennale, an international contemporary art festival held once every two years, to give a presentation on the background and his passion towards this art festival. . His passionate message was delivered to the audience. This was followed by the free interaction session, where the high school students had an opportunity to interact with the mentors freely based on various fields of interests. . It has been a day with a lot of knowledge inputs, but it must have been a great inspiration for the high school students.

HLAB GUNMA 2022は本日3日目を迎えました。新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大防止のため、昨晩からプログラムが一時中断され、遠方からの参加者を含め高校生全員が帰宅しました。運営委員はゆずりは荘（宿泊地）に残り、プログラムのオンライン移行に向け準備を進めました。翌日からのプログラム再開とオンライン移行を伝えるビデオを作成し、プログラムの詳細と共に高校生に届けました。夜には、メッセージのやり取りや、オンライン上で顔を合わせるなど、各ハウスごとにそれぞれの時間を過ごしました。明日からはオンラインでのプログラムになり、セミナーやリフレクション等も再開します。それぞれ学びや発見のある1日にしましょう。

HLAB Summer School GUNMA 2022 entered its third day today. To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the program was temporarily suspended last night and all high school students, including those from far away, went home.The university students remained at Yuzurihaso to prepare for the online transition of the program. A video was filmed to inform the high school students that the programs will be resumed in an online format , and was delivered to them along with their details. In the evening, each house spent their time respectively, communicating through texts and video calls. . Seminars, reflections, and other projects will resume tomorrow, and we hope that high school students will continue interacting with each other and making their own discoveries.

【HLAB GUNMA 2022 Daily Report Vol.4】

HLAB GUNMA 2022はオンラインに切り替わり、プログラムが再開しました。本日は2回目のセミナーが行われ、初日のセミナーに比べより発言が増えるなど、高校生がより積極的になっている様子が見受けられました。2度目の「大学生フリーインタラクション」では、高校生がそれぞれの興味関心について大学生メンターから話を聞くことで進路や将来について考えを深めました。午後は海外メンターによるプログラムが行われ、高校生は日本語に一切頼らない形で参加しました。「自己分析ワークショップ」では、それぞれが自分の過去を様々な視点から捉え、自分を見つめ直しました。オンライン移行後の初日ということもあり接続トラブルもありましたが、パソコンを一度閉じれば日常の中でゆっくりと内省する時間を取ることができるなど、オンラインならではの良さを感じることも出来ました。明日以降もしっかりHLABの価値を届けていこうと感じた、オンラインサマースクール初日となりました。

HLAB Summer School GUNMA 2022 has switched online and the program has resumed. The second seminar was held today, and it was evident that the high school students were more active, as they spoke more than what was seen on the first day of the seminar. In the free interaction session with the university students, high school students deepened their thoughts about their career paths and their own future by listening to university student mentors talk about their respective field of interests. In the afternoon, high school students participated in a program organized exclusively by the Global-side mentors, without relying on Japanese language at all. This was followed by the ”Self-Analysis workshop”, where the high school students had an opportunity to look at their pasts from various perspectives. Although there were some internet problems, being the first day after switching to online, there were also some benefits that could only be offered online. The program will still continue to give the value of HLAB.

【HLAB GUNMA 2022 Daily Report Vol.5】

HLABサマースクール GUNMA 2022のオンライン2日目が開催されました。本日は3回目となるセミナーが行われました。初日に比べて緊張が解け、苦戦しながらも楽しんで参加する高校生参加者の姿が多く見られました。午後に行われた中之条町との地域連携ワークショップでは、四万温泉協会の方に中之条町の温泉街の魅力や課題点について説明していただいた後、ハウスごとに分かれて課題点や解決策について話し合いプレゼンテーションを行いました。40分という短い準備時間であったにも関わらず、みんなで協力しながら、具体的かつ実現可能性のあるアイデアを出し合い、有意義な時間となりました。

アートワークショップでは各自自分を表すテーマを決め、ノートに新聞やチラシで自分の世界を表現し、オリジナルの作品をつくりました。どの作品も個性豊かで素敵な作品ばかりでした。サマースクールも残すところあと2日となりました。オンラインで疲れが出てきている中ではありますが、高校生も大学生も最終日に向けて気合を入れなおして頑張りたいと思います。

HLAB Summer School GUNMA 2022 held its second day online. At the third session of the seminar, high school students were more active than on the first day. In the afternoon, we invited the Shima Onsen Association to explain the charms and issues faced in Nakanojo Town's hot spring resort. Afterwards, high school students discussed these issues and presented some concrete and realistic solutions. In the following Art workshop, students expressed a theme that represents themselves, and created artworks using newspapers and flyers to express them. All of the works were unique and wonderful. Although we are getting tired through the online sessions, we will put our best for the final day ahead.

【HLAB GUNMA 2022 Daily Report Vol.6】

HLAB GUNMA 2022のオンライン3日目が開催されました。午前中に行われた「未来来想像WS」は、未来の夢が叶ったつもりでノートに書き出してみるというワークショップでした。それぞれの夢をハウスメンバー以外の人たちと熱く語る高校生の姿が印象的でした。続いて「フリーインタラクション」では、現役で世界を跨いでご活躍されている10名の社会人の方々をゲストに招き、各ブレイクアウトルームに分かれて交流しました。高校生一人ひとりが自分の体験や悩みを素直に打ち明けながら多くの質問を投げかけており、実り多い時間となりました。午後には、4回目となるセミナーが行われました。みな段々とコミュニケーションにも自信を持ち、積極的に会話に参加しようとする姿が見受けられました。今日が最終日となりましたが、皆が勇気を持って一歩前へ挑戦することのできた1日だったと感じました。明日の閉会式で成長した高校生、大学生の姿をみるのが待ち遠しいです。

HLAB Summer School GUNMA 2022 welcomed its third day after switching to an online format. The ”Vision WS” held in the morning was a workshop in which participants wrote down their dreams for the future in a notebook as if they had come true. It was impressive to see high school students passionately discussing those dreams with people outside their respective house. In the free interaction session with professionals, 10 guests from different fields were invited to speak in each breakout room.Despite the age differences between the high school students and the invited guests, the students were able to proactively ask questions to the experiences shared by the professionals , making it a very productive session. The last session of the seminar was also held today. The high school students gradually gained confidence in their communication skills, and were seen to actively participate in the conversation. Today was the last day of the seminar, and I felt that it was a day in which everyone had the courage to take a step forward and challenge themselves. We hope to see the high school and university students that marched a step forward through this summer school, at the closing ceremony tomorrow.

【HLAB GUNMA 2022 Daily Report Vol.7】

とうとうHLAB GUNMA 2022の閉会式が開催されました。午前中は最後のハウスごとのリフレクションでした。対面で1日半・オンラインで3日半の時間をかけて仲を深めていっただけに、ハウス内では今の心境や、これからの意気込みを正直に互いに語り合う姿が見受けられました。閉会式は高崎市にある総合福祉センターにてオンライン中継で行われました。群馬県から佐嶋洋子なさまのご挨拶をいただき、学生運営委員代表のスピーチが行われました。

その後、各ハウスごとの高校生の姿をスクリーンで映し出し、サマースクールの修了を伝えつつ、メンターがメッセージを投げかけました。高校生は自宅から参加していましたが、まるで自分もホールで参加しているようなリアルな雰囲気を感じ取っていたのではないでしょうか。高校生スピーチでは、大勢の前で緊張する状況の中、代表者が自分自身の言葉でHLABサマースクールを通して学んだことや未来の展望について語る姿が印象的でした。最後に流れたエンディングムービーでは、高校生・大学生が語り合う姿や、中之条の自然、オンライン上での皆んなの笑顔や真剣な顔つきが映し出されました。最後に副委員長の挨拶ですべてのプログラムが終了しました。高校生と繋がっていたzoomが閉じられ、HLAB GUNMA 2022が閉幕しました。オンライン開催に切り替わりながらも、高校生たちは最後まで貪欲に学ぼうという姿勢を見せてくれました。きっとそれぞれが気づきを得てくれていると信じています。
最後までサポートしてくださったご家族のみなさまに、改めて感謝の気持ちを伝えたいです。

The day has come to finally welcome the closing ceremony of the HLAB Summer School GUNMA 2022. Before the closing ceremony, the final house-by-house reflection was held. After a day and a half of getting to know each other in person, and another three and a half days spent online, the high school students were able to honestly discuss their current state of mind and their enthusiasm for the future with each other in their respective houses. The closing ceremony was held at 3:00 p.m. at the General Welfare Center in Takasaki City via online broadcast to the high school students. Ms. Yoko Sajima from Gunma Prefecture and a representative of the university students gave their speeches, followed by the awards ceremony, where the high school students from each house were shown on a screen. The mentors standing on the podium threw them a few words of messages, creating a realistic atmosphere as if they were also participating in the hall. A representative from the high school students also gave a speech. She appeared a bit nervous, but it was impressive to see her speaking in her words about what she learned through the HLAB Summer School and her vision for the future. The closing movie showed the high school and university students interacting in person, the nature of Nakanojo, and the smiling and serious faces of the students online, which brought tears to some of the university students. Finally, the vice-chairman signaled the end of the closing ceremony, and the zoom broadcast was closed. This time, we had to undergo a sudden switch from face-to-face to an online format, but through the final impression and comments from the high school students, we felt that we were able to provide the kind of learning opportunity that can only be provided by HLAB.
