では日本という国の語源についてみていきましょう。

ということで、日本という国の呼び方の由来でしたが、いかがでしたか？

ジパングって全然ニホンとちゃいますやん！と長年思っていましたが、元を辿れば中国語読みが関係していたんですね。

ヤマトだったり、ジャパンだったり、倭だったり、ニホンだったり、ニッポンだったり、Land of the Rising Sunだったり……

なんて沢山の名前をもった国なのでしょう！

そして、その事実すらも日本人の持つ世界観（多神教的な曖昧さ）ゆえ、なんとなく受け入れられてしまう不思議。

しかしよく考えてみると「名前」というものを「唯一無二のアイデンティティ」を表現するものとして捉えるのはいかにも西洋的で、日本では元来そのような概念はなかったと思います。

必要があれば、好きに呼べばいい。

それが、Japanだろうが、日出る国だろうが。

そして、そのような日本人の寛容な姿勢が、今後世界のなかでどのように表現され、評価され、生き残っていくのか。
