A poem like this was written on the axis (photo).

幾日霜風木葉乾，湖山深處水雲寬
閒情每向無人得，落日孤亭枕石寒

風や霜がおり木の葉は乾き、
深い山、湖に雲が広がる。
この広いところに人の気配はない、
日が暮れひっそりとした小屋で石の枕が寒々しい。

The leaves are dry due to the wind and frost,
Clouds spread over deep mountains and lakes.
There is no sign of people in this wide area,
The stone pillows are cold in a quiet hut at sunset.

この詩から想像すると、旅人が野宿に立ち寄ったのか、あるいは誰か寂しく隠棲しているか。どちらにしてもその情景が浮かんでくる。

Imagine from this poem, did the traveler stop at the inn, or is someone lonely retired? Either way, the scene comes to mind.

中国の故事に、「漱石枕流(そうせきちんりゅう)」という熟語がある。この意味は、自分の失敗を認めず、屁理屈を並べ言い逃れをすること。負け惜しみの強いこと。という意味である。
この言葉は、三国志に登場する西晋の政治家である孫楚が間違って、「枕石漱流」というべきことを「漱石枕流」と言い、間違えを認めず屁理屈を並べて言い逃れたことから、この「漱石枕流」がそのまま故事として使われるようになった。

There is an idiom "Soseki Chinryu" in a Chinese story. This means not admitting your own mistakes, quibbling and evading. Being defeated. It means that.
This word is because Sun Chu, a politician of the Western Jin dynasty who appears in the Three Kingdoms, mistakenly called "Soseki Chinryu" what should be called " Chinseki Soryu " and escaped by quibbling without admitting any mistakes. "Soseki Chinryu" has come to be used as it is.

ご存知、夏目漱石は、この故事を引用し、雅号とした。漱石自身も、名前につけるくらいこの故事が気にいっていたことになる。つまり、漱石自身も頑固で屁理屈が好きな人だったのかと想像してしまう。

As you know, Soseki Natsume quoted this story and named it the Gagô. Soseki himself was so fond of this story that he could name it. In other words, I imagine that Soseki himself was a stubborn person who liked quibble.

煎茶の淹れ方の基本である、水から茶葉を煮る「煮茶法 」、湯から茶葉を煮る「烹茶法」、そしてその中間の「中煮法」がある。
それぞれの淹れ方で、秋月の輝きと美しさを想い浮かべながら夜長を楽しんだ。

There are the "boiled tea method" in which tea leaves are boiled from water, the "boiled tea method" in which tea leaves are boiled from hot water, and the "middle boiled method" in between, which are the basic methods of brewing sencha.
I enjoyed the long night while thinking of the brilliance and beauty of AkinoTsuki in each brewing method.
