There are those people who are addicted to biased views and ideologies in the ”Echo Chamber” or the ”Filter Bubble” phenomena in the cyberspace, which make our society more unstable.

The Echo Chamber is the situation in which you only hear opinions that are similar to your own.  The Filter Bubble means that your way of thinking is isolated inside a “bubble” because you only see news and information that support what you already believe and like as a result of algorithms that reflect your search history whether you want it or not.

If you are in the above circumstances, you are likely to judge everything you see on the Internet is right, although what you see with your eyes is not necessarily real.

It may be OK if this kind of thing happens when you talk about your hobby, leisure activities, and so forth.  However, we can't never let it go if it effects our daily life. I am being told that the social media is fostering an extreme divide - conservative vs liberal, white vs non-white, and rich vs poor - in the US for a long time.  Even TV and radio station (so called old media) - because the broadcasting industry is highly competitive - support rather radical political issues in order to appeal to people who believe the information (which they like) on the Internet blindly. Actually, the Right tends to watch the FOX NEWS, so does the Left MSNBC, and the both sides are gradually getting into a bad spiral, which let them believe their thought is definitely right.

How can we let these people realize what they see with their eyes is not necessarily real and there are bunch of things never come into sight?

It is a difficult question, but we must remember we start using the social media heavily just about a decade ago and so it is not a mature tool yet, Therefore, its rules are not really well prepared.  Also, the adults of today didn't take any literacy education of the Internet at school.

If you want to drive a car, you must learn traffic rules and how to manipulate a car.  Just like this, in order to let people use the social media properly, we should decide rules of the Internet (I know it is not easy because it is a matter of cross-border), and fine people for illegal uses.  In addition, literacy education of the Internet should be mandatory for all Internet users.

Then, how can we tell this people in the Filter Bubble?
