数日ぶりの記事です。
「ミキモト真珠島」へ行きました。ここも子供頃に行ったはずですが、やはり覚えていない。人の記憶なんて、そんなものなかな。
御木本幸吉が真珠の養殖に成功した島です。世界で初めてらしいです。島といっても船に乗る必要もなく、橋というか連絡通路があって歩いて行けるので非常に楽。

This is my first article in a few days. I went to Mikimoto Pearl Island. I must have been here when I was a kid, but I don't remember. Human memory is like that. This is the island where Kokichi Mikimoto succeeded in cultivating pearls. It seems to be the first in the world. Even though it's an island, there's no need to take a boat; there's a bridge, or rather a passageway, so you can walk there, so it's very convenient.

そんな行きやすい島ですが、あまり人はいないのが不思議でした。レストランもあるのですが、貸切状態。時間が少し遅めの昼食にしても人がいない。そこで「伊勢うどん」を食べて、時間を潰していました。時間を潰したのには理由があって、海女さんの実演があることを知ったからです。１日に７回あって、１４：３０からの実演まで、約３０分。
時間が近づくと、どこからともなく人が集まってきました。どこにいたんだろうか。

It's such an easy island to get to, but it was strange that there weren't many people. There is also a restaurant, but it is reserved for private use. Even though it was a little late for lunch, there was no one there. There, I ate ``Ise Udon'' and killed time. There was a reason why I was killing time: I learned that there was a demonstration by Ama divers. There are seven times a day, and the performance lasts about 30 minutes, starting at 2:30 p.m. As the time approached, people began to gather from everywhere. I wonder where you were?

ほんとに綺麗な景色でした。実演が始まるまでにも海の写真を撮っていました。

It was a really beautiful view. I was already taking photos of the ocean before the demonstration started.

海女さんが海に飛び込む時、思っていた以上に激しくて歓声が上がっていました。そして海に潜って貝を持って上がって来られた時も歓声と拍手でした。
アナウンスによると海女さんの白い衣装は全国でもここだけらしいです。海や空の青と白い衣装のコントラストがとても綺麗でした。

When the Ama divers jumped into the sea, the cheers were louder than I expected. And when she dived into the sea and came back with shellfish, she was cheered and applauded. According to the announcement, this is the only place in Japan where Ama divers wear their white costumes. The contrast between her white costume and the blue of the sea and sky was very beautiful.

子供の頃に来たときは、何かしらゲームをやっていて真珠のネックレスを当てた記憶があります。でも、朧げな記憶を辿っても景色が一致しません。
もしかしたらゲームをやっていたのはイルカ島だったかも。
時間調整を間違ってイルカ島へは行けなかったので、また近いうちに行ってみようかな。

When I came here as a child, I remember playing some kind of game and winning a pearl necklace. But even if I trace my vague memories, the scenery doesn't match up. Maybe the game was played on Dolphin Island. I wasn't able to go to Dolphin Island because I made a mistake in adjusting the time, so I think I'll try going again soon.
