冷たい風は少し和らいで
申し訳なさそうに太陽がビル間に顔を出した

Leicaショップ　彼は突然現れた
片手にLeicaモノクローム
それは多くの世界で　多くの人を撮った機体

彼は僕に握手をし、そして写真を撮った
僕もお礼に　彼の写真を撮った
それはカメラマン同士の挨拶だ

彼は東京を撮り　僕も東京を撮る
そこに国境も人種もない
誰も裁かないし　誰も色を分けない

僕も彼も同じ　どこか異邦人
僕も彼も　写真を撮る

僕にも　彼にも
Leicaカメラを手にしていた

さあ、次は何を写真に残そう

僕は彼の旅が最善であることを祈った

Tokyo in the rain
The cold wind eases a little
The sun appeared apologetically

Leica shop he suddenly appeared
Leica monochrome in one hand
It is an aircraft that has photographed many people in many worlds.

He shook my hand and took a photo.
I also took a picture of him as a thank you.
That's a greeting between photographers.

He takes pictures of Tokyo, and I take pictures of Tokyo too.
There are no borders or races
No one judges, no one differentiates by color

He and I are the same, he's a foreigner somewhere
Me and him both take pictures

For me and for him
I had a Leica camera in my hand.

Now, what should I photograph next?

Robert Stacy

Robert Stacy is a documentary, travel, and nature photographer living most of the time in Tokyo. His documentary work focuses on women’s empowerment, socio-economic disenfranchisement, and political protest as means of change. Robert came to photography through the influence of his grandmother who had been a nurse treating British POW’s during World War II for the Italian Red Cross, and later worked in geriatric care in Brooklyn, NY. “She infused within me a sense of social justice, and was an incredible role model for what it means to have empathy. When I was a kid, she would tell me her stories from the war, the suffering she witnessed, and the dangers of fascism and how easily it befell her native country of Italy. Like many before me, I’ve wanted to use photography as a means of showing our common humanity, force people to think about social issues in a different way, and take action to make positive changes in their communities, and the greater world.” Most recently, Robert has been documenting the Black Lives Matters Protests in Portland, and Los Angeles.
