　毎月3回目の主配信は唄われる英詩を取上げています。これまでのそのジャンル（唄われる英詩）のバックナンバーをリストにしてみます。2016年7月分から降順で。

唄われる英詩のバックナンバー

　以上5篇の内訳は、アメリカのシンガー・ソングライター3篇（Bob Dylan, Eric Andersen, Paul Simon）、トラディショナル・フォークソング2篇（She moved through the fair, Unquiet Grave）です。

　もし、今から唄われる英詩を勉強してみたいという場合には、バラッド形式の歌（Bob Dylan, Unquiet Grave）をおすすめします。バラッドはこの500年間使われてきたフォークソングの王道だからです。

　今回は The Beatles の 'A Day in the Life' を取上げます。以前から本マガジンの購読者の方よりビートルズのリクエストがあり、どれを選ぶか考えてきました（もし、リクエスト等ありましたら、コメント用ノートにお書きください）。ビートルズということなら候補はたくさんあります。が、やはり、この歌を取上げないとならない気がして今回選びました。

　半世紀前の作品（1967）ですが、その後のポピュラー・ミュージックの歴史を変えたといわれる重要な曲、一時はBBCで放送禁止になった問題作です。

　詩としてみると、個人が作ることがふつうの現代詩としてはあり得ない共作の形をとっており、二つの視点が奇跡的に共存しています。内容も興味深く、音楽的にも編曲が凝っています。
