素晴らしいライブでした！8月に新宿タワーレコードでマスドレのアコースティックライブを見ましたが、菜津子さんのソロの音楽を聴くと、また違った雰囲気がしました。ステージで一人ですし、まりこさんを聴くために来た観客が多かったかもしれないし。ダイナミクスが異なっていました。アコースティックギター、いつもよりゆったりとしたメロディの曲、そして僕が覚えている限りでは靴を脱がず、ずっと履いていました(でもやっぱり脱いたみたい)。 緊張していたのかもしれませんが強い存在感は健在。明るくて、重すぎず、もちろん飽きることがありません。

What a great show! I saw Mass of the Fermenting Dregs do an acoustic live at Shinjuku Tower Records in August, but hearing Natsuko's own solo music live had a totally different feel to it. Since she was alone on stage, and with an audience who may have come mainly to see Mariko, the dynamics were different. An acoustic guitar, songs with a slower melody, and as far as I know, she kept her shoes on. Regardless, even if she may have been nervous, Natsuko really has a strong presence. It's lifting, not too heavy, and definitely not boring. 

本当にユニークなミュージシャンなんです。音楽に対して、彼女がどれほどのエネルギーを注いできたかは聞けばすぐに分かります。僕の恋人、あいぽんは菜津子さんのライブに行くのは初めてでしたがすぐに彼女の音楽を気に入ってくれました。音楽だけではありません。曲の間のMCでは、過去の話や高校生の時に目指していた夢、Number Girlの思い出、前のバンドメンバー達が辞めたかった時の心情などについて話してくれました。この話の最後に「怖いことをやってみなよ」と言っていて、一番印象に残っています。僕も賛成です。

Natsuko is just a really great musician. The effort put into her music is apparent. My girlfriend Ai came for the first time and she immediately took a liking to her. But it was not just her music. Hearing her comments in between songs, we really enjoyed learning about her past, her ambitions as a high school student, Number Girl, and what happened when her band members wanted to quit. The most impressionable thing she said was "try scary things". I totally agree. 

ライブの終わり、グッズのカウンターのあたりに立ち、売りながらファン達に感謝の気持ちを言葉にしていました。そして、再び菜津子さんは「お会いしたことありますか？」と僕に聞きました。きっと真っ青な顔で不器用な答えをしました。ごめんなさい。言語の問題じゃなくて...緊張しました。優しくしてくれて本当にありがとうございます！
僕とあいぽんは、1月のライブを楽しみにしてます！

At the end, Natsuko and Mariko stood behind the merch table selling their products as well as thanking fans who came. Again, Natsuko asked if we had met before. I'm sorry for how awkward I was when you asked. It really wasn't a language thing... I was just nervous... Thank you for being so nice though!
Ai and I are looking forward to January's live!

後藤まりこviolence POP

まりこさんのライブも結構面白かったです。もうちょいワイルドで、中身はめちゃパンクな感じです。このライブで「violence Pop」という名前をつけた理由が分かりました。正直、まりこさんの音楽はそんなに聴いたことがありませんでしたが、綺麗に整えられたカオスという感じがしました。新しい曲を聴けて楽しかったです！めちゃ尊敬している遠藤ミチロウさんとちょっと似ているので、その点が僕は気に入りました。菜津子さんをライブに誘ってくれてありがとうございました！まりこさんのライブを聞く機会があってよかったです。

Gotou Mariko violence Pop

Mariko's live set was also particularly interesting. She is a little more wild and punk at her core. The title, "violence Pop" definitely seems reasonable. Honestly, I have not listened to her all too much, but the way she played was some sort of organized chaos. It was fun! While her songs weren't familiar, I felt she might be similar to Endo Michirou, and that is something I can respect. Thank you Mariko for inviting Natsuko to your show! It was a nice opportunity to be able to see you as well.
