静岡市葵区の中心部（おまち）から車で30分。静岡市葵区足久保は静岡茶生誕の地であり、住宅地でもあります。自然が残っていて、季節の美しさを楽しめます。

Shin-Komyoji Temple
新光明寺

After tasting delicious green tea at the Ashikubo Teaworks Cafe, visitors can visit the nearby Shin-komyoji Temple.
足久保ティーワークスカフェで美味しいお茶を味わった後、近くにある新光明寺に行くのはいかがでしょう。

The beautiful path leading to the temple is lined up with maple trees.
お寺への美しい参道には紅葉が植えられています。

The place is one of the rare spots in Shizuoka City for viewing Japanese maple trees.
静岡では珍しい、紅葉を見ることのできるスポットの一つです。

It is a good place to see vivid red maple leaves similar to Kyoto's.
京都のような、鮮やかな紅葉を見ることが出来る良いところです。

Ashikubo is located in a mountainous region with significant daytime and nighttime temperature difference.
足久保は山間地にあり、朝晩の気温の寒暖差がはっきりしています。

This big difference in temperature causes the maple leaves to change into vivid red color.
この大きな気温差が紅葉の葉を鮮やかな赤に変えるのです。

The peak season for maple leaf viewing here is the end of November.
ここでの一番の見ごろは11月の終わりです。

The natural scene at the Shin-komyoji Temple is different depending on the season.
新光明寺では季節によって美しい景色を堪能できます。

Nowadays, looking at the green moss that covers the sides of the path is very calming.
今は、参道の両脇にある緑の苔を見ると、気持ちが落ち着きます。
