ある中国人の生徒から聞いたのですが、
どうも中国では、問題集は一通り解いたら、繰り返し解くのではなく、新しい問題集をどんどん買っていく風潮らしいのです。日本人の生徒よりも沢山買ってるように思えました。

I asked the Chinese student in Japan about workbooks.
According to him, most Chinese students seem to buy new more workbooks one after another, after they just finish a old workbook. In addition, it seems that they have more workbooks than Japanese students.

中国人全てがそうだとは言い切れません。彼がいた環境だけがそうだったのかもしれません。
I can't say for certain that all Chinese people do that.
You can also think he was in the learning environment like that unexpectedly.

日本でも問題集を多く買う生徒を見かけます。
I've seen some Japanese students buy many workbooks.

問題集を買い増していくと、達成感やモチベーションを上げるメリットはあります。
As you have more and more workbooks, you may get more sense of accomplishment and motivated. 

肝心なのは、問題集の内容を理解できたかどうか。         The most important thing is that whether you could gain a lot of points from your workbooks.

逆に、日本では沢山買うより、数冊の問題集を繰り返し解くことを推奨する先生は結構います。問題集で過度な出費はする必要はないということです。

Alternatively, there are quite a lot of Japanese teachers recommend repeating a few workbooks.  It needs not to spend too much money to get books you need.
