A senior software engineer and manager in Smartphone Development Team in Unimedia Solutions LLC, Orgilbat defined studying, “a nature of our profession.”

In his team, Orgilbat have been working on an advertisement system on twitter. Consisting big data, AI, and machine learning technology, the system finds certain clichés on tweets, using it to identify users to target advertisements.

Orgilbat mentioned restricted time to be one of the hardest quality of his project.
“We have to learn many things quickly in a very short time,” he said.
Because the system is combined with many models and technologies, he explained how it is also very hard to know the exact schedule of the project’s progress.

Orgilbat described that his advertising system is currently targeted for Japanese twitter users. The project addressing Japanese clichés, Orgilbat has currently been learning Japanese.
“I got N5 in The Japanese Language NAT-TEST this April.” He laughed as he explained level N5 to be the lowest.

However, still, it was clear that he holds motivation and interest in learning and acquiring new skills.

“Software developer must learn all the time, never stops,” he explained.
“The levels of learning may depend on each person,” he said, “but environment must be good for learning new things and Unimedia is actually a perfect place for it.”

Although the project is hard, as a software engineer, Orgilbat enjoyed studying many advanced technologies.
“Satisfied,” he chuckled, happiness fluttering in small waves through the room.

ソフトウェアエンジニアとしてモンゴルのUnimedia Solutions LLCに勤めるOrgilbatさん、現在所属するSmartphone Development Teamについて話してくれた。

Smartphone Development Team では、最新の複数の最新技術を使用している。端的に述べると、SNSでユーザーが投稿した単語を特定し、投稿内容と商品の消費者としての関連性を見つけ出すシステム。ここでは遠い関係性のものも導き出し、母集団が適切にターゲッティングできる新しい広告の仕組みだ。

このチームでの一番の課題は時間がないこと。
「短時間で多くのことを学ばなければならない。だから今後のスケジュールを予測することが難しい。」

Orgilbatさんが取り組んでいるシステムは日本のツイッターを対象にしたもの。言語の壁はないのか、という問いに対し、最近日本語を勉強し始めたのだと話してくれた。4月には日本語NAT-TEST５級を取ったそうだ。
「一番低いレベルだよ。平仮名とカタカナだけね。」笑いながらも、とても嬉しそうだった。

「ソフトウェア開発者は常に学んでいなければならない。この職業ではみんなそう。特につきものなんだ。」
「学びに関しては個人差が出てくる。だけど、学ぶためには環境が大事。ユニメディアは学ぶにはぴったりな会社だ。」
どんなところからそう感じるんですか。という問いに対し、「わからない。」と首を振った。「ただ、前の職場とは違うんだ。」
はっきりしたものはわからない。だけど、たくさん学んでいる、という感覚が大事なのかもしれない。
