　なぜ，そんなことをするのでしょうか。筆者は，読者に意地悪をしているわけではなく，その方が英文として読みやすいからです。たとえば，東大英語で学ぶ英文解釈(4)では，同格 that を分離させることによって，主語が長くならなくてすみます。

がテーマです。東京大学の問題ではなく，まず，京都大学の問題から見て，東京大学の問題へとつなげたいと思います。では，2007年の京都大学の問題を読んでみましょう。
