現存する最古のイラストがこれだ。3歳10か月作。この頃、友人達に絵本を広げて、読めないから勝手に作話して読み聞かせることもしていたらしい。

This is the oldest illustration I have, drawn by 3 years 10 months old girl, me. In those days, I showed picture book and told the story to my friends, of course I couldn't read it, now you understand I think.

小学校に入った頃は漫画家になりたくて、絵や漫画を描く友達もたくさんいたので、みんなでノートに執筆しては回覧して遊んでいた。友達と二人で共同制作した一作のタイトルは確か｢悪魔の住む家｣。ストーリーは全然覚えていないが、小３だか小２だかの時の話。

After that, when I was an elementary school student, I wanted to be manga artist. Many of my firends wanted to be too, so we drew manga and showed them each other. I and a friend made a work together, titled "A house the devil live in". I don't remember the story, anyway, I think I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade at that time.

校舎裏の草むしりの時に｢うちにある漫画｣と嘘をついて創作ホラーストーリーを友人に語ったら、草むしり毎のシリーズ化してしまって、しまいには｢その漫画貸してくれ｣となったから、超誤魔化した。

When our students weeded the schoolyard, I told a friend a horror story. It was my original story but I said "I have this manga". She had big interest in it, it grew into a series, at last she asked me to borrow it, so I really evaded.

あとはまあみんな、その頃好きだった男子を登場させてラブコメとか描いてたよね、もうめっちゃ世界狭い！

Mnnn, and, we all drew love comedy, some of the characters were real boys we had interested in. It was a really small world!

しかしそんな日々も小５で終わりを告げる。それは、新井素子に出会って衝撃を受けて、小説家志望に転向したからだ。突然世界は宇宙規模に広がり、SFを字で書き出した。

But when I was in the 5th grade my manga days were over. I found the novels by Motoko Arai and got shocked, then changed my mind to be a novelist. Suddenly my small world expanded into space world, I started to write SF stories.

字がメインツールになったけど、絵や漫画も時々描いて、大人になってから友人に連れ込まれてドラゴンボールパロディの同人誌作って、コミケに3回出た。

Since then text is my main tool, but sometimes I drew illustrations or manga. When I was late 20s my friend took me into her creative unit, we made parody comics of "Dragon Ball" and sold them at comic market 3 times.

絵や漫画は得意じゃないし上手じゃないと徐々に悟り、もうほぼ描かないけど、いっこ前のアイコンは自作です。

Now I know I'm not good at illustration or manga so much, so I rarely draw them. But this profile picture I used before was my original one I drew.

今、小学5年生の甥っ子が、ヨシタケシンスケさんに心酔してほっそいコピックで手帳に絵ストーリーをこちゃこちゃ描き始めたので、叔母ちゃんはめっちゃ将来が楽しみです。

Recently my nephew who is in the 5th grade starts drawing his original illustration and story on his note using copic with a fine point, because he is fascinated with Sinsuke Yoshitake. So I'm really looking forward to his development, to be a great artist I think!
