大都会。
立体交差の高速道路。

その上をラクダの商隊が進んでいる。
長い行列を作り、整然と歩み続ける。

クルマにとっては大変な迷惑だ。

ドライバーが怒鳴っても通じない。
どうやら言葉が理解できないらしい。

砂漠の民であることは確実である。

耳が毛だらけ。
鼻にはフタまである。

かれらが乗ってるラクダそっくりだ。

「オアシスでも見せてやればいいのに」
軽薄な若いドライバーが提案する。

そんなものどこにもないのに。

ついに警察のパトカーが到着した。

「とにかく高速道路から降りなさい」
ラクダの商隊は命令を聞かない。

「無視するな。発砲するぞ！」
ラクダの商隊は拳銃さえ見ない。

もう警官は頭にきてしまった。
とうとう銃弾が発射された。

その銃声が大都会の空に消える。

銃声とともに拳銃が消える。
撃ったはずの警官も消えてしまう。

クルマもドライバーも消える。

さらに高速道路まで消えてしまう。
周囲の建築物まで消えてゆく。

やがて大都会そのものが消えた。
まるで蜃気楼のオアシスのように。

ラクダの商隊は黙々と歩み続ける。
どこまでも果てしなく広がる大砂漠を。

Camel Caravan

Big city.
Crossing highway.

Camel caravan is on it.
Make a long queue and keep on steadily.

It is a terrible annoyance to the car.

Even if the driver shouts, they do not understand.
Apparently they do not understand the words.

It is certain that they are desert people.

Their ears are full of hair.
There is a lid on the nose.

It looks like a camel on which they ride.

"I wish someone would show them an oasis."
A frivolous young driver suggests.

There is no such thing anywhere.

At last the police patrol car arrived.
"Get off the highway anyway."

Camel caravan will not listen to the order.

"Do not ignore me, I will fire!"
Camel caravan does not see even a handgun.

The policeman got angry.
Finally the bullet was fired.

That gunshot vanishes in the sky of a big city.

A gun disappears with a gunshot.
The policeman who should have shot also disappears.

Both the car and the driver disappear.

Furthermore, it disappears to the highway.
The surrounding buildings disappear.

Soon the big city itself disappeared.
Just like an oasis of a mirage.

Camel caravan keeps on silent,
a large desert spreading endlessly everywhere.
