とうとうお山に雪が降り始めました。

子猿が空を見上げて叫んだものです。
「大変だ。落ちてくる。空が落ちてくる」

子猿は降る雪を初めて見たのでした。

雪はいく日もいく日も降り続きました。
ようやく晴れたのは元旦の朝のこと。

きれいな初日の出がお山から見えました。

「よかった。昇ってる。空が昇ってる」
子猿は東の空をじっと眺めるのでした。

Monkey Mountain

At last the snow began to fall on the mountain.

A child monkey looked up at the sky and shouted.
"It's tough! Falling, the sky is falling!"

The child monkey saw the falling snow for the first time.

The snow continued for several days and days.
Finally it was sunny on New Year's morning.

A beautiful sunrise was visible from the mountain.

"Good, rising, the sky is rising."
The child monkey gazed at the east sky.
