男の子がふたり左右に立っている。

どちらも見覚えがあるのに
どこの子だったか思い出せない。

一本の長いなわがふたりを結んでいる。

なわの両端はしっかりと握られ　
ふたりはなわを振りまわし始める。

なわの軌跡は大きな目のように見える。

それが目なら瞳がありそうな気がする。
きれいな瞳なら嬉しいのだけれど。

どこからか女の子がやってきて　
ひょいとジャンプして、なわの目の中に入る。

スカートが蝶のように舞う。
カラスの翼のように黒い髪が揺れる。

なわの目の中に、かわいらしい瞳ができた。
僕がまばたきすると、彼女も瞬きする。

「郵便屋さん、おはいんなさい」

そうだった。
配達の途中なのだった。
