今回、紹介させていただく発明品の「コンパス杖」は
足の不自由な方向けのこれまでにないタイプの杖です。

２本の杖が間隔を置いて一体となった構造。
基本の形状は、物を挟む道具、トングに似ています。

では、使い方を説明しましょう。
まず、中央上部を片手または両手でつかみます。

次に、一方の杖を突いて他方の杖を少し浮かせ　
そのままコンパスのように弧を描きます。

動かした杖の先を適当な位置に着地させたら　
そこを支点として、反対の杖を持ち上げて弧を描きます。

この動作を左右交互に繰り返すことにより
２本足で歩くようにコンパス杖が前進します。

こうして、左右どちらかの杖、または両方の杖によって
常に体を支えられながら安心して歩けます。

使用者の足と合わせ、安定の四足歩行と言えるでしょう。

１本杖において杖全体を持ち上げて場所を移すような
一時的にせよ杖が荷物になるようなことはありません。

ただし、普通の１本杖と同じように使うこともできます。
１点でなく２点で支えるため、安定性はより高まります。

たとえば、立ち作業や階段を上る時などに役立ちそうです。

その他、左右の杖の間に水平バーを設けることにより
全体の構造を補強し、立ち上がり補助機能も持たせます。

さらに、その水平バー上部にフックを設ければ
そこにバッグなど重い荷物も掛けられます。

これにより、電車の床に立つような不安定な状態でも
それなりに安定が得られると同時に、手や肩への負担が軽減されます。

また、ひねりによる先ゴムの摩耗を軽減させるため　
杖の先端は遊びのある可動式の先ゴムを想定しています。
