Toroa is loving picture books at this moment. She listens to the stories, turns pages and points at pictures. In this afternoon, she found a pile of them on the couch. She climbed up on a box full of nappies and blankets next to the couch, reach out and pushed the books over to the floor and climbed down to have a look at them. After carefully examined the books, she decided to go back on the couch. Climbed up on the box again, then went over the arm of the couch and proudly climbed onto the couch all by herself. Smiled at me quite proudly and bounced on the couch excitedly.
I thought she would be stuck and won't be able to come down, so I put the cushions down in front of the couch. She reached out to the cushions and face-planted on them upside down, and her body went sideways. Instead of crying, she smiled and went back up on the couch in the same way as last time. Then the second time, she climbed back down from the way she climbed up without falling.
My goodness. My baby suddenly moved up a stage and is becoming a little toddler. What is this purposeful use of her body?! Planning and problem-solving?!
