風景、まなざし、国立公園

多くの人々が美しい風景を求めて国立公園を訪れる。そしてその圧倒的な風景に、彼らは我を忘れて没入する。その姿はまるで、現代の不確実性の時代の中で、簡単に消費されてしまうものではなく、人間や社会を超えた大きな存在を求めているようにも見える。 　この作品では、日本の国立公園の様々な風景と共に、それをまなざす人々の姿を写し出している。改めて、人はなぜ風景を見るのだろうか。そしてそのように人を駆り立てるものは一体何なのだろうか。

Landscape, Gaze, and the National parks of Japan

People visit national parks to be enchanted and fascinated by the breathtaking beautiful landscapes. In this uncertain time, they seem to seek supernatural things and experiences instead of consumable or tangible things. This work captures the sceneries of the Japanese National Parks as well as the people who are looking at them. Once again, why do we seek sceneries of nature? What draw us to do so?
