本作品は、古墳の今日的風景が撮影されている。古墳は、鎮魂文化のなかで「祈りのかたち」として建てられた。そこには、数千年という時 を越えても変わらないものが宿り、言葉では語れないものが存在している。 先が見えにくく、進む方向を見失いやすい時代において、古墳の意味について問いかける。

Unchanging Earth

This work shows current photographs of ancient graves in the shape of a mound. Ancient grave mounds were built as representations of praying for the repose of dead souls. They are something that remain indescribable and unchanged over a long period of history. During this time, when we are uncertain about the future and lose sight of where we should be headed today, we ask you to think about what the meaning of “ancient graves” is.
