こんにちは。最近は20代前半にもかかわらず、肩周りが痛くてたまりません。恐らくシェアハウスのベッドが悪いのだと思います（笑）
(Hi, everyone. Recently, my shoulder has hurt although I'm in my early 20s. I guess it's because my bed is in my sharehouse, lol.)

ここ数日はアルバイトに時間を割いている為、英語学習にあまり取り組めずにいます。またいざ取り組もうとしても、「やる気」が続かずにすぐYouTubeを見てしまう自分がいます。
（These days, I have spent a lot of time doing my part-time job, so I cannot study English enough. Moreover, even though I tried to do that, I tended to watch YouTube because of my lower motivation:(

そんな時にフォロワーさんから、「英語学習も映画やドラマなど『楽しく勉強』するとき」「文法や英単語帳など『真面目な勉強』するとき」に分けると良いのではないか？と意見をいただきました。
(My follower told me that we can distinguish between enjoying studying English, such as watching movies, and focusing on studying it, such as vocabulary.)

「勉強」という言葉💬

また最近は、「勉強」という言葉に良い響きを感じないことに、疑問を持つようになりました。
(Lately, I have a question about why "Studying" sounds bad for me.)

「勉強」に対する定義を、一度調べてみました↓↓↓
(Once I searched for the definition of Studying in the encyclopedia.)

義務教育時代に「勉強=つまらないもの」と認識していたせいか、今でも少し抵抗を感じてしまうのも事実。
When I was in compulsory education, I recognized "Studying is boring", so in fact, I hesitate to study nowadays.

そこで今度は「学習」という言葉の定義も調べてみました。
(Anyway, I also searched the definition of "Learning.")

さらに調べてみると、「勉強」は辛くても頑張って乗り越えるべきこと、「学習」は手本となるものを真似して「知識や技術を習得」すること、とまとめられていました。
(Studying is that we have to overcome despite hard and "Learning is that we can acquire the knowledge from imitating the example, according to the internet.)

まとめ

今回は「勉強」という言葉の定義をハッキリさせることで、「自分の勉強に対する姿勢」をもう一度改めるキッカケとしました。
(This time, I want to clarify the definition of Studying so that I make the opportunity to interpret my thought about it.)

またなぜ「英語勉強」ではなく、「英語学習」と言われるのか理解できた気がします。今後は、もう少し気楽に取り組んで行きたいと思います！
(I can understand why people say "Eigo Gakusyu." I will try to study something comfortably:)
