この聖句は、イエス・キリストを信じることの驚くべき力と恵みを力強く宣言しています。私たちは、神の子としての新しいアイデンティティを与えられ、聖霊によって変革され、神の御心を行っていく責任と喜びを担います
1. 信仰による神の子としての新しいアイデンティティ
この節において、「彼を受けいれた者、すなわち、その名を信じた人々」は、イエス・キリストを救い主として受け入れ、その名を信じる人たちを指します。
イエス・キリストを信じる者は、単に罪の赦しを得るだけでなく、神の子としての新しいアイデンティティを与えられるのです。これは、私たちが神の愛と恵みに包まれ、神の家族の一員として受け入れられたことを意味します。
2. 神の子となる力：聖霊による変革
「神の子となる力」とは、聖霊によって私たちの内面が変革され、神の性質、つまり愛、喜び、平和、寛容、親切、良善、誠実、自制などの実を結ぶようになることを指します。
聖霊は、私たちに罪から離れ、神の御心に従って生きることへと導いてくださいます。私たちは、聖霊の力によって、日々成長し、より良い人間へと変革されていくのです。
3. 信仰生活における責任と喜び
神の子となった私たちは、単に恵みを受けるだけでなく、神の御心を行っていくという責任も与えられます。それは、イエス・キリストの教えに従い、愛と正義、思いやりをもって周りの人々と接することです。
しかし、この責任は決して重荷ではなく、神の愛と恵みを分かち合い、神の栄光を現す喜びを与えてくれます。神の子としてのアイデンティティに基づき、日々の生活において神の御心を生きることこそ、信仰生活における真の喜びとなるのです。
私は、日々の生活においてイエス・キリストを喜び、聖霊の導きに従い、神の愛と恵みを周りの人々と分かち合っていくことができるようにと祈ります。

This passage of Scripture powerfully proclaims the awesome power and grace of believing in Jesus Christ. We are given a new identity as children of God, transformed by the Holy Spirit, and we carry the responsibility and joy of doing the will of God
1. new identity as children of God by faith
In this verse, 'those who have received him, that is, those who have believed in his name' refers to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour and believe in his name.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ do not merely receive forgiveness of sins, but are given a new identity as children of God. This means that we are surrounded by God's love and grace and accepted as part of His family.
2. the power to become a child of God: transformation by the Holy Spirit
'The power to become a child of God' means that the Holy Spirit transforms our inner being so that we bear the fruit of God's character - love, joy, peace, generosity, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control, etc.
The Holy Spirit leads us away from sin and towards living according to God's will. We grow daily and are transformed into better people by the power of the Holy Spirit.
3. responsibility and joy in the life of faith
As children of God, we not only receive grace, but we are also given the responsibility to do God's will. This means following the teachings of Jesus Christ and treating those around us with love, justice and compassion.
However, this responsibility is not a burden, but gives us the joy of sharing God's love and grace and revealing His glory. Living God's will in our daily life, based on our identity as children of God, is the true joy in the life of faith.
