韓国の高齢者世代は韓国戦争の世代だ。 そのため、北朝鮮に対して強く批判的だ。 戦争の惨憺たるさは我々が経験していないからこそ理解できない。 ただ想像で非常に残酷だということを察しているだけだ。 そのため、高齢者世代の北朝鮮批判は十分理解できる。
また、キリスト教団体も北朝鮮に批判的だ。 北朝鮮での宗教迫害を避けて韓国に避難したケースが多い。 彼らも北朝鮮に対して批判的なことが理解できる。
この二つの勢力の支持を強く受けているのが、韓国の現保守政権だ。 国防を堅固にし、軍人に対する支援を確実にし、戦死者や服務者に対する処遇を改善してくれれば、私がいくら進歩側であっても積極的に賛成する。 北朝鮮の機嫌を伺いながら、前の進歩政権が北朝鮮に対して明確な態度を示さなかったことは、確かに反省すべき部分だ。
しかし、保守政権も軍人に対する処遇と愛国を強調しながらも、今回の海兵隊軍人死亡事件の真実を明らかにせず、躊躇し続ける姿に、本当に軍人に対する配慮があるのか疑問だ。 単に票を認識して愛国心を強調しているのではないかと聞きたい。
今、北朝鮮との対立が激化している。 これ以上の対立はタイミングを逃し、損害がはるかに大きい可能性がある。 戦争まではいかなくても、経済的、外交的、民族的に得より損失が圧倒的だ。
まず、経済的に見れば、極に突き進む姿で、多くの外国人投資家が懸念している。 地政学的リスクを甘受してまで投資をする外国投資家が多くないだろう。 その投資先がもちろん円安もあるが、日本投資に多く移動していった。
外交的に北朝鮮は、経済的孤立を打開するために、ロシアや中国とさらに緊密に交渉するだろう。 今、中東戦争やロシア/ウクライナ戦争に北朝鮮の兵器が使われている。 韓国とはますます対話が途絶え、ロシアと中国で対話チャンネルを固定すれば、北朝鮮もいつ戦争という手段を使うか、何の外交的方法が存在しなくなる。
最後に、分断で散らばっている親兄弟が結局会えなくなる。 韓国戦争で生き別れになり、痛みを一生守りながらも、死ぬ前に故郷を訪問したり、家族に会うことを夢見る民族的な痛みを解決できないのだ。 これは経済、外交を問わず最大の人間的苦痛であり、基本的な人間の人生を悲しくさせる悲しい歴史だ。 政府がこれに配慮しない姿も、国民のための政府なのか、政権維持のための政府なのか、混乱している。
米大統領選挙でトランプ氏が当選した場合、韓国を除いて北朝鮮と米国は隠密な取引をする可能性もある。 在韓米軍に対する費用増額も予想され、在韓米軍の撤収も可能だ。
もはや北朝鮮との関係を回復する試みが必要な時期だ。 無条件の譲歩はできないが、適切な対話と協力は、経済的利得、外交的平和、民族的交流という大きなビジョンのためにも、タイミングを逃さず進まなければならない。（Qの希望）

I wonder if their concern for soldiers is genuine or if they are merely emphasizing patriotism for political gain. The confrontation with North Korea is escalating. Further confrontation could result in much greater losses if the timing is missed. Even if it does not lead to war, the overwhelming losses economically, diplomatically, and nationally outweigh any gains. Firstly, economically, many foreign investors are concerned about the escalating tension. Foreign investors may be reluctant to invest, despite the potential economic gains, due to geopolitical risks. Investments have shifted, with many moving towards Japan rather than South Korea. Diplomatically, North Korea will likely engage in closer negotiations with Russia and China to counteract economic isolation. With North Korean weapons being used in conflicts like those in the Middle East or between Russia and Ukraine, dialogue with South Korea is decreasing, while channels with Russia and China are being solidified. Without any diplomatic means, North Korea may resort to war at any time. Lastly, families separated by division may never reunite. It is a tragic history that despite being separated by the Korean War, many still dream of visiting their hometown or meeting their families before they die. The government's lack of consideration for this is confusing; it is unclear whether they are a government for the people or a government focused on maintaining power. If Trump is re-elected in the U.S. presidential election, North Korea and the U.S. may engage in secret deals excluding South Korea. An increase in costs for U.S. forces in Korea and even the withdrawal of U.S. forces could be possible. Now is the time for efforts to restore relations with North Korea. Unconditional concessions are not advisable, but timely progress with appropriate dialogue and cooperation is necessary for the greater vision of economic benefits, diplomatic peace, and national exchange.(Q's hope)
