この度、営業時間を変更しました。

今日は、この件について。
そうなんです。
タイトルのように、日々は一日として同じことはなく、変化の連続だったということに気づいていなかったのです。

と言うことは、私自身には変化が無く、また成長も無かったと言うことだろうか？
大きな疑問をも得てしまった。

と、こんな中での営業時間変更…。
それも〝営業時間を変えましたよー！〟と、宣言してから気が付いた。

兎にも角にも、あまりの頓馬な自分に、自分自身が驚きだったのです。
あぁ情けなや…。

のべつ幕なし営業している私に、ある日、とある人が言いました。
「営業時間を凝縮したら？と言うより、折角、繁華街に立地しているのだから、帰宅時間をメインに変えてみたら？」と言うアドバイスでした。

それは以前に試みたことがありました。
あの頃は、午前11時から夜9時まで営業していたっけ…。
菓子屋だけど。

思い起こせば、やる気満々だったな…自分。

でも何となく…夜まで営業する意味を感じられなくなってしまった。
主力商品を変えたこともあって、何となく…何となく…現在に至っている。

「今はもう飲食店は夕方の中心時間帯に、すっかり景気が戻っているのよ！」
そう言われても、この周辺地域ではそうは見えないし、人通りも実感が湧かない。
「夜道に灯りが点いていれば、誘われて来るってこともあるんじゃないの？」
この店は誘蛾灯か…。

それでも、何でも試みてみよう！と、思ったのでした。

さて、いよいよ今日のお題に迫ります。

昨日、夜8時まで営業したのです。
そう！金曜の夜、FridayNight⭐️です。

8時までなんて言ったところで、宴会の多くは飲食店でまったりの最中で、この一次会がハケるのも二次会へ移動するのも、これからこれからの時間。
誰の来店を待っているのだ？
あまりに中途半端かも知れません。
暗闇を歩く人を見ながらと言うより、数えながら、そう思ったのでした。

と、ふと気が付いた。
それにしても人がいない！

ほんの十数メートル先には駅から通じるメインストリートに合流する。
でも、そのメインストリートにも、人が…いない。

この街は、こんな感じに変化していたのだ。

さて、家へ帰ると…これまた書くに書けない事情がてんこ盛りになっていた。

帰宅に際しては、電車の本数が随分と減っていた。
家路についた途端、家の者に気を遣い、あの頃は元気だったけれど経年には逆らえない事実を目の当たりにすることになった。

些細な変化を数えながら、約7年前と現在とでは、明らかに変化していたことに気付かされたのでした。

時の流れ、物事の変化に逆らわず、再度、営業時間を考え直すべきかも知れない。

Even though I say it ends at 8 o'clock, most of the parties are relaxing at restaurants, and it will be some time from now until the first party ends and we move on to the second party.

That's what I thought as I was counting people, rather than watching them walk in the dark.
I suddenly realized that.
However, there are no people! Just a few dozen meters away, it joins the main street leading from the station.
