 The famous biologist tells us that the Japanese have stronger immunity than others. It has built up its strength in the fights against tuberculosis for many years.
 He also says that they were fortunate in inheriting genes in a more favourable form from the Neanderthal than others. They inherited the gene that prevents progression to severe diseases. But they did not inherit the gene that causes severe infectious disease.
