In my twenties and thirties, Fridays were called Hana Kin in Japanese. It is the long-awaited day for going out drinking. I used to go out drinking with my colleagues. I still have the habit. I still drink every Friday at home though I work at home and seldom see my colleagues. Last Friday, I had a 500ml highball in a can and a canned cocktail but wanted more and had wine a little. They relaxed and gave me a good sleep.
Fewer and fewer bottled wines have had a cork. Instead, they have a screw cap. Most of the wines I buy have a screw cap. It is because of a cork taint which became an issue in the 1980s. It has accelerated switching to screw caps. Screw caps are easy to open bottled wines but make them look cheap. Probably, many people think the same way.

　ボクが30代のころは、金曜日は花金といわれ、会社の同僚と飲みに行くことが多かったです。その名残か、在宅勤務のいまでも、金曜日になるとお酒を飲みたくなります。この金曜日もご多分に漏れずお酒を飲みました。まず、500mlのハイボール缶を飲み干し、その後に缶のカクテルを飲んだのですが、まだ飲み足らず、家にあったワインを少し飲みました。気分良く飲めたお陰で、ぐっすり寝れました。
　最近のワインは、コルク栓が減り、スクリュー栓が増えています。ボクが買う価格帯のワインのほとんどはスクリュー栓です。コルクからでる臭（「コルク臭」という）が1980年代に問題になり、スクリュー栓の利用が進んだようです。スクリュー栓は、ワインオープナを必要とぜす、開けやすくていいのですが安っぽく見えてしまいます。こう感じるのは、ボクだけでしょうか？
