６年前2016年のクリスマス12月25日、George Michaelが亡くなりました。
同時代を生きていた才能稀有な一人のミュージシャンが、突然亡くなった。

"Careless Whisper" や "Last Christmas" が脳内BGMになっていた時期もある。

"Wham!"から独立後は、"George Michael"の曲に込められた歌詞内容が理解できなくて苦手意識さえあったけど、素晴らしい才能を皮膚感覚で感じさせてくれるGeorgeの曲は好きでした。

亡くなってから改めて、曲の意味内容、歌詞を自分なりに読み込んでいって、その悩みと悲しみと愛の深さに涙が流れるのです。

★この曲も他のGeorge Michaelの楽曲と同様に和訳が難しいです。例えば、
'Cause I gotta' have faith, I gotta have faithの直訳は「自信を持たなきゃいけないから自信を持つべき」ですが、これではよく分からない。そこで、「自信がない(けれど)、自信をもつべき」と裏返し気味に意訳しています
