銀座の中心を、新幹線を含む複数の鉄道路線と首都高速道路が横切っている。日本の首都における交通の大動脈のひとつ。その高架下の空間は商業ビルになっていて、無数のレストラン、バー、居酒屋、ショップが軒を連ねている。その中には高級店も少なくない。店に入ると、頭上を頻繁に疾走する電車や高速道路の振動や騒音が、ほとんど伝わってこないことに驚かされる。

Several railroad lines, including the Shinkansen bullet train, and the Metropolitan Expressway, cross through the center of Ginza. It is one of the main arteries of transportation in the Japanese capital. The space under the elevated tracks and highway is a commercial building, lined with countless restaurants, bars, izakayas, and stores. Among them are several upscale restaurants. Upon entering the facilities, one is surprised to find that the vibrations and noise from the trains and highways that frequently speed overhead are almost imperceptible.
