Re/Map 2.0 研究発表会について

立教大学社会学部の小泉ゼミでは、9月11日(火)、東京都武蔵野市・吉祥寺のArt Center Ongoingにて、シンガポール国立大学との共同プロジェクトである「Re/Map 2.0」の研究発表会を開催します。当日は、9月6日(木)から9月10日(月)に行われるワークショップでの研究成果をプレゼンテーションやデザイン、模型などを用いて発表する予定です。

Re/Mapとは都市空間を自分たちの視点から新たに再構成するプロジェクトです。今回のRe/Map2.0では、2020年に開催される東京オリンピックがテーマであり、東京オリンピックの開催に伴い都市や文化がどのように変化しているのかに着目し、新たな/隠された都市空間の可能性を描き出します。小泉ゼミの学生は本年度の4月より、渋谷、六本木/新宿、蔵前、築地の各エリアで街歩きやインタビューなどのフィールドワークを行ってきました。9月6日から9月10日に開催されるワークショップでは、新たにシンガポール国立大学デザイン・環境学部建築学科の学生が加わり、都市の社会・空間・文化再編成にまつわる新たな批評的視点が生まれることでしょう。

We are pleased that the Koizumi research group, Rikkyo, will be co-hosting an international workshop “Re/Map 2.0” in partnership with the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore (NUS), Simone Chung Studio.

This six-day workshop will examine the societal-spacial transformation of cultures in Tokyo, especially towards the 2020 Olympic games and beyond. Also, Koizumi research group and NUS Simone studio students’ members will make one day presentations at this event, after completing 5 days fieldwork and study in Tokyo areas such as Shibuya, Roppongi/Shinjuku, Tsukiji and Kuramae.

This event will be held on the 11th September at Art Center Ongoing, Kichijoji, Tokyo.

Simone Shu-Yeng Chung is Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, NUS, and associate at the Asia Research Institute. She holds a PhD in Architecture and MPhil in Screen Media and Cultures from the University of Cambridge, and MSc in Advanced Architectural Studies from the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies, University College London. She is a Rome Scholar in Architecture and was AHRC-NIHU Fellow to the Nichibunken, Kyoto. After completing her studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and the Architectural Association, she practiced as a registered architect in London. Her research interests reside in the synergistic potential offered by the moving image medium to architecture and urban studies, conservation practices and intangible heritage in Asia. She is co-principal on the MOE Tier 1 ArRF project Re-mappings, Re-constructions, Re-layering and Re-visits: cinematic pasts as urban cultural resources (2015-2018) in Singapore and international co-investigator on the AHRC funded project Cinematic Musée Imaginaire of Spatial Cultural Differences (2017-2019) in the UK.

Motohiro Koizumi is Associate Professor of the College of Sociology at Rikkyo University, Tokyo, Japan. He received his B.A. from the International Christian University (ICU) and his M.A. in music and Ph.D. in sociology from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2009. He was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS, 2008-2011); a Research Fellow at the Centre for Transnational Art, Identity and Nation (TrAIN) at the University of the Arts London (2009-2010); a Research Fellow at CLIC-ON (Cooperation toward Leadership in Innovative Creation – Open-innovation Network) of Osaka University (2011-present); a Researcher at Birkbeck, University of London (2011); and an Associate Professor in cultural policy at Tottori University (2011-2016). Koizumi is also actively engaged in teaching courses in music management at the International Christian University (2013-present).
