都会の空はギザギザに切り抜かれている。
さも軽蔑するかのように見下ろす高層ビル群。

奴らから見れば、おれたちは地面を這う蟻か。

最初、それは高層ビルが吐き捨てたツバのようだった。
なにか真上から落ちてくるのに気づいたのだ。

ぶつかる瞬間にそれが女だとわかった。
おれはまともに歩道に叩きつけられた。

だが、すぐにおれは立ち上がった。

「君、大丈夫？」
倒れている女に声をかけた。

「うん。大丈夫みたい」
すぐに彼女も立ち上がった。

彼女は裸足だった。
ミニスカートの汚れが気になるらしい。

「靴は？」
「ええと、屋上に置いてきちゃった」

平気そうな顔をしている。
「あなたこそ、大丈夫？」

落ちてきた彼女と激しく衝突したのだ。
死んだとしても不思議ではない。

「そういえば、なんともない」

とにかくここから逃げなければ。
高層ビルなんか見えなくなるところまで。

一刻も早く、一歩でも遠くへ。

絶対、どこか間違っているのだから。
