寒い夜が明けると、湖はすっかり凍りつき　
その上をどこまでも渡れるようになった。

とても澄んだ水の湖なので
氷になっても底まで透けて見える。

魚は勿論、色々な生き物が標本のように固まっている。

カバやワニ、ぶざまな姿の河童、絶滅したはずの恐竜。
UFOらしきものまで見える。

ということは、これは夢かもしれない。

まるでその証拠であるかのように
軽やかに滑る私のスケート靴の刃の跡をなぞりながら

凍った湖面の氷上に
いやらしい亀裂が止めどなく幾本も走る。

（ああ、追いつかれる！）

そういえば、もう季節はすっかり春なのだ。

Ice Breaks
