天の川を小舟で渡っていた時のお話です。

風はなく、ほとんど波もありませんでした。

川面に目をやると、魚が泳いでいました。
これはまた珍しい事があるものです。

近づいて来たので姿がはっきり見えました。
どうもそれは魚とは違うようです。

二の腕まで水中に入れ、それを捕まえました。

なんとも異様な形をしておりました。
銀色の鱗に覆われ、尾ビレしかありません。

眼もエラも口らしきものさえないのでした。

突然、それは尾ビレから火炎を吹きました。
ですから私は驚いて、思わず手を離したのです。

結局、その姿は水中に消えてしまいました。
まことに不思議な事があるものです。

Milky Way Ferry

It is a story
when I was crossing the Milky Way by a small boat.

There was no wind and almost no waves.

When I looked at the surface of the river,
a fish was swimming.

This is also something unusual.

It came close to me so I could see it clearly.
Apparently it is different from fish.

I put my upper arm in the water and caught it.

It had a strange shape.

It is covered with silvery scales
and has only tail fins.

There wasn't even an eye or gills
that looked like a mouth.

Suddenly it blew a flame from the tail fin.
So I was amazed and suddenly let go of it.

Eventually, it disappeared into the water.
There is something really strange about it.
