夕暮れの冬の空中に穴があった。
大人の腰くらいの高さに穴は浮かんでいた。

腹を空かせた家出少年が路地裏で見つけたのだ。
空中に浮かぶ穴など少年は知らなかった。

少年はやせた片腕をのばした。

穴の中にはなにもなく、空っぽだった。
腕を引くと、手首から先がなくなっていた。

断面には痛みも出血も傷跡もなかった。
もともとなかったみたいな感じだった。

少年はわけがわからなかった。
外に置き去りにされたような気がするばかりだった。

A Floating Hole

There was a hole in the sky of winter in dusk.
The hole floated at the height of the waist of an adult.

A runaway boy who got hungry found it at the back of the alley.
The boy did not know the hole floating in the air.

There may be food in it.
The boy stretched his thin arm.

There was nothing in the hole, it was empty.

When he pulled his arm,
the tip of the wrist had disappeared.

There was no pain, bleeding,
scar in the cross section.

It was like it was not originally.

The boy did not know the reason.
He did nothing but feel like being left behind.
